One quick note: Reggie gave us some swagger and excitement in 2006. His first season was legitimately good and I don't want to take anything away from that, but it's been a long, slow decline from there.

Something clearly went wrong between Bush and the Saints, but I thought the right trade might have given Bush the chance to live up to his potential -- his real potential, not the exaggerated potential that everybody thought he had. At the very least, he should have been a Danny Woodhead with big play ability. The comparison seemed obvious when I saw Woodhead's role at New England last year, but Matt Williamson has since spelled it out in great detail. Of course, after the Bush hype, nobody would have been happy with a Woodhead who made a few big plays.

Still, I thought there a few teams that he might done well -- where a Woodhead who broke some big plays would be a big addition. Unfortunately, I thought Miami would be a bad fit, but I don't know if he'll get a third chance.
